Community Builder: school counselor uses GPS to help studentsJanuary 3, 2020

Meet Dominique Sawyer, our latest Community Builder! Ms. Sawyer is a counselor at Meadow Glen Middle School where she uses a program called GPS, Grace, Peace Sisterhood, to help her students navigate through school. She is being hailed as a hero by her students, and through the program has provided opportunities such as being able to go to the United Nations International Day of the Girl to serve as delegates for South Carolina. GPS provides a safe place for students to feel safe, seen, and supported and is made up of more than 1,000 students.
