The Mungo Homes Production Team recently traveled to Burnsville, NC, for the first of several trips to join forces with Samaritan's Purse to aid families affected by Hurricane Helene. The team cleared trees, cleaned out flooded homes, removed debris, tarped roofs, and tackled other tasks to support those in need.
Greenville Production Manager, Rutledge Vaughn offered the opportunity for his Team to volunteer, and 22 builders initially participated. "We got hit pretty hard [in the Upstate] but they got hit harder,” said Vaughn. “The impact was powerful: not only in helping families rebuild but in bringing a renewed sense of purpose and connection to each of us who volunteered."
Sr. Purchasing Agent, Allison Minnix, who had personally volunteered in the area with her family, is organizing additional Mungo Team Members - including office staff, the sales and warranty teams - to travel to Burnsville on November 6th to continue the efforts. In addition, she is in conversation with several Mungo trade partners who have heavy machinery to assist with clearing roads and other tasks that can’t be done by hand to travel to the area on a subsequent trip.
