Mungo Homes officially marked the completion of its newly renovated headquarters campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held On Tuesday, April 8th in Irmo, South Carolina. The ceremony brought together company leadership, local officials, project partners, and team members to unveil the modernized campus.
"This all started in 1954. A poor guy from Bethune, South Carolina—my father, Michael Mungo—decided he was going to put down roots in Irmo and start a business. And 71 years later, here we are,” an emotional Steven Mungo said during the ceremony. “This (headquarters) is just the embodiment of our commitment to this area, to this industry and to all our wonderful teammates who made this building possible.”
To bring this vision to life, Mungo Homes partnered with Garvin Design Group for architectural design and Cohn Construction for construction management. The campus's centerpiece is a 20,250-square-foot office building featuring a striking two-story atrium, custom glass railings, and a contemporary workflow designed to foster greater team collaboration. The project also involved transforming an existing building into a 10,000-square-foot Training and Fitness Center, which now boasts two large training rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, a spacious catering kitchen, and a stunning outdoor patio. The result is a dynamic environment for both professional development and personal wellness. An adjacent 18,000-square-foot building has undergone a complete exterior renovation, and the parking area has been expanded to accommodate future growth.
