Mungo Homes Celebrates 70 Years with Platinum JubileeMarch 8, 2024

Mungo Homes recently held a Platinum Jubilee in Columbia, South Carolina to celebrate 70 years in business! The black-tie, enchanted forest event with cascading flowers and twinkle lights hung from the ceiling hosted key Team Members, dignitaries, industry friends and officials, vital trade partners, and guests from Clayton Properties Group. Guests were treated to Southern delicacies such as quail and miniature tomato pie, with the highlight of the evening a multi-tiered, custom-designed cake. A live band entertained guests, who were gifted packets of note cards printed from the water color especially commissioned by a local artist for the invitation.

The Mungo family started building new homes in Columbia, South Carolina in 1954, and now builds in nine Markets throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. While still family-run today with Steven Mungo as CEO, Mungo Homes proudly became part of the Berkshire-Hathaway family of companies in 2018.
